After less than a mile from the hostel there are plenty of options for food, restaurants. I would suggest taking a day pass for $4 on a bus itself, then explore, eat, travel all over the city including Anaheim which again is very pretty. Disneyland or Newport beach, all can be seen by buses.

Kentro greek kitchen down the stree on Harbor Blvd. is amazing and cheap for what you get. order at counter so no tipping necessary. get the lamb pita and the zucchini cakes

Downtown Fullerton has numerous restaurants but many are off side streets, not on the main drag.

Wow is Disney expensive now. I went to a movie at the Gardenwalk. Ultra Star Cinemas has some adult theaters where you can order alcohol drinks from your seat. I had grandkids with me so we were NOT in those areas.

The summer Olympics started so that's what we were all watching, BUT...the bus goes straight by Disney so there are places near there or in Downtown Disney (House of Blues & Jazz Kitchen) if you have the money.
