I suggest going to the co-op for food, nice, has a restaurant/cafe section that's pretty cheap for genevan standards, and it has a candy section where the sweets are far cheaper than you'll find in any shop if you're looking for souvenirs for friends/family. |

The general older part of town south of the river around the Town Hall where the Geneva Convention was signed and the cathedral. It's beautiful and it's where all of geneva's history lies. |
