Geneva is pretty expensive for food but at the Coop in downtown Geneva (on the main shopping street) there is a hot food counter which has pizza, sausages, salads and sandwiches for around 5CHF. This was the best we could find. For lunches though we went to the supermarkets and bought bread, cheese, meat and Swiss chocolate :-) |

Really nice karaoke in a small bar named Le Declic. For gay or gay friendly. Good choice of songs, good sound and good staff! Arret de tram: Pont d´Arve ou Uni-Mail, some stations from hostel! |

Le Saleve. Just take the no. 8 bus out to Veyrier Douane and then get on the cable car up to the top of the mountain. There's lots of hiking and great views of Mont. Blanc. The cable car only costs 11CHF return. Pretty cheap! |
