Do not stay at the HI hostel in Dinan. It is a damp place, with mold on the walls, that makes the whole place reak (stink) real bad.

La Ferme des Nielles in Saint-Meloir des Ondes. Recommended by desk staff. It is a fruits de mer market that also serves prepared shellfish. You pick your shellfish, drink, and maybe fries, they prepare them and you eat at a picnic table next to a cultivation pond. I had a dozen No. 1 oysters for 12 euro. I think that these were the freshest and best tasting oysters I have ever had. I think that there is a similar place near Pt. Reyes Hostel in California. I haven't tried it, but now I will.
