There is a trail which starts at the roundabout and goes up to the top of the mountain just behind the roundabout - I can't remember the name, but it was a great hike - incredible views! It took us about 4 hours. |

The hike up to the top of the large hill/small mountain that protrudes into the town. It starts just North of the roundabout. Wear good shoes, watch for the plethora of beautiful wildflowers, and do be sure your camera is in proper working order. |

The Trollstigen road uo to geranger an then if you go further in the lands you will reach a kind of rocky deadland and you'll see a mountains that you can climb by car.It is really impressive, you reach 1500m, beautiful lanscape. |

if time allows, rent a canoe (pretty cheap) at andalsnes camping site which is only 15 mins (pleasant) walk away from the hostel. go along the rauma river. both sides are beautiful. bike is also available for rental at the camping site. and the cakes there (ask reception) tasted wonderful. buy a little more and they give u discount. |

| HI Hostel Åndalsnes Åndalsnes Hostel is idyllicaly situated approximately 1.5km outside the centre of Åndalsnes, surrounded by the spectacular Romsdal Mountains and the Romsdal Fjord. Åndalsnes Hostel is one of Norway's oldest hostels, and consists of three buildings located in a farmyard. We can offer our guests a nice welcome, clean and tidy rooms/common areas, a large outside area and free parking. In addition, our world famous breakfast is included in the price.
There is a quiet and calm atmosphere at the hostel, and it is very well suited for children. The hostel's location is very favourable considering the short distance to all of the famous attractions in the Åndalsnes area. It is an excellent starting point for day trips by foot, bicycle or car. Possible day trips are for instance: Trollstigen, Geiranger, Ålesund, Molde, The Atlantic Road and Kristiansund.
Activities range from horse riding and mountain hiking to fishing in the famous Rauma salmon river. Accommodation is in 2-6+ bedded rooms and facilities include kitchen, laundry and bike hire. | more...... |
