We went to Geirangerford from Alesund through the hurtigruten cruise and returned to Alesund through the Ford1 bus service. It was a awesome experience. |

Definitely climb up for the Aksla view (its right next to the hostel and) it's stunning! Also Fjord1 do a tour on coach and ferry from Alesund bus station to the Geirangerfjord! It's a whole day tour and the round trip costs just over £60 - well worth it! |

As Norway is very expensive the best thing you can do is going to the supermarquets around the HI and cook in the small kitchen of the hostel. |
