We have created this travel blog for one purpose – to give our members and visitors to our website a great place to share, discuss and read all about hostelling and our hostels from every country of the world. To stay in one of our hostels is to have a great time and an unforgettable experience and we want our Travel Blog to be just the same.
We will be providing articles on our great hostels, the many countries you can find them and invaluable local knowledge from our hostel managers on things to do and places to see while you’re there. We will keep you up to date with our latest projects promoting Sustainable Tourism, our collaboration with UNESCO and not forgetting all our competitions, promotions and special offers!

I love to travel and have spent some months backpacking in different parts of the world including Europe and Australia. I have also lived and worked in Spain for 5 years with my partner and two children, 6 months of which was spent in a motorhome – a memorable experience! I believe the world is a big place just waiting to be discovered and there is nothing better than meeting people from another country and experiencing a new culture.

Travel offers us unique and enriching experiences but at the same time pressures on the environment. Travelling responsibly is part of my passion for life. Every time I visit a country I try to enjoy as much as possible while minimising my impact. I love to meet new cultures and people and learn from their way of life. Sustainability? This is a way of thinking and acting. I firmly believe that every little personal action counts to preserve this beautiful world that has so many amazing things and experiences to offer.
