Group accommodation in Northern Ireland at HI group hostels
Northern Ireland is certainly a destination for groups which are willing to immerse themselves in the 'mighty craic' (the fun and entertainment to you and me). Not only can this country boast that it was the birthplace of the Titanic - locals will tell you it was fine when it left their shores - but it is renowned throughout the world for the Giants Causeway and the tipple of smiling eyes, whisky.
We have three hostels in this green land which are perfect bases for groups to explore what is on offer. Take a trip to the new Giant's Causeway visitor centre which opened in 2012 and marvel not only at the hexagonal rocks (believed to have been put there by a giant) but at the grass on the roof of the £18.5 million eco-friendly building. Other popular activities for groups include walking and hiking expeditions through empty Moorland or if you prefer a 'wee dander' through the centre of Belfast there is tour for your party.
No trip to Northern Ireland would be complete without sampling some of the amber nectar - not the fizzy Australian brew - but the Bushmills variety. With a group hostel right on the doorstep, there really is no excuse not to visit the distillery which has been voted a four star visitor attraction.
With country houses, world-class golf courses (Rory McIlroy honed his skills here), fabulous food and enough history to shake a stick at, there's not been a better time to start planning your group trip to Northern Ireland.

Choose from the following locations to view our group hostels in Northern Ireland:
Armagh – The fourth smallest city in the UK and the oldest city in Ireland, Armagh has a rich and varied cultural past which dates back and incredible six centuries. Situated on the Saint Patrick’s Trail, this often overlooked city has many attractions which would keep all types of groups occupied. A popular destination for school groups is a trip to the historically unique Navan Fort - one of Irelands most famous and important archaeological sites where visitors can take part in ‘real-life’ horrible histories. Don’t miss the stunning National Trust properties, unmatched Georgian architecture, two Saint Patricks Cathedrals, the amazing green space of the Mall and the chance to indulge in all manner of activities in a beautiful natural environment. Armagh might be a small city but it is big on activities. Why not take a look at our hostel here and consider a group trip to this mythical destination?
Belfast – While Belfast is only a small city, don't let size put you off. Split into quarters with very different personalities, Belfast is the birthplace of milk of magnesia, air conditioning and George Best! A cultural capital with a host of different attractions, Belfast was named as one of the top 21 places to visit in 2012. With shopping, great restaurants, a ship or two and enough art and culture to shake a stick at, Belfast is sure to delight even the most discerning groups of travellers.
Bushmills (Mill Rest) – Classified as a village, Bushmills is a place that has a lot going on. Not only is it home to the famous Bushmills Distillery which has been making whisky here since 1604, it is also just two miles away from the Giant's Causeway. In the summer months there is a train which connects the two attractions together making our hostel here the perfect location for ticking off both sites before retiring to a local pub to sample the home brew!
