Pilsner Urquell is a great standby chain. Although they don't typically serve their competitor's beer (Kozel) the food is rich without being overly heavy and plentiful.

Siteseeing at night is actually quite nice. Most of the museums as well as the castel are lit and give a great night experience. Several film, art and music festivals are going on, even in the winter seasons.

Vyshrad--it is probably the most unique church/cathedral of any in the immediate area. Its a bit of a hike but well worth it.

Kutna Hora--its an hour east by train and is a great day trip. The Sidlec Ossuary is somber but beautiful in its own way and the town is small but quaint.

Stay somewhere else & you will be able to afford the meals at any resteraunt you like Beas just out of the square is delicious & cheep
