East Lake area at center of town was nice. At Holiday Beach (take bus), a crystal clean, Olympic swimming pool, only 15 yuan, locker is 9 extra.

Sanya is a great tourist town, with NanShan being my favorite place. If you want a little more local feel try going ro Wuzhishan City. This area is in the island instead of the coast and there is actually quite a few attractions relating to the inner city scenery and the history of the people.
