28 Jun 2009 Susan, USA (Traveller): At this hostel there is a restaurant on the same floor and the food is reasonable. 80 rubles for a cheese omelet that covered the entire plate. They have a Carl's Junior right off of Nevsky Prospect.

28 Jun 2009 Susan, USA (Traveller): The Hermitage Museum is amazing. Peterhof is beautiful. Peter and Paul Fortress is free and an interesting place where all the Russian royalty such as the Romanov family is buried. St. Isaac's Cathedral view from the top is spectacular. The Kazan Cathedral on Nevsky Prospect is free to enter and also very beautiful inside. The Yusapov Palace where Pushkin lived and died is interesting. If you want to take a day trip go to the Finland Train Station and go up to Vyborg which is close to the Finland border (1 1/2 hour trip). The only midevil castle (circa 1290) is there and an interesting quaint town.

12 May 2009 Morgan, Canada (Traveller): Try the "shavarma" from kiosks anywhere in the city, particularly near the exits of metro stations. Smiley's (down Ligovsky Prospect past the metro station, just past McDonald's) has a great shavarma for 100 Rubles, as well as other good things (and pictures in the menu!).

15 Mar 2009 Fredrik, Sweden (Traveller): Decadance, a small and fancy night club situated close to metro station Dostoevskaya. A beautiful crowd and good house music make this place one of the best in Petersburg and the only club close to Moscow standards.
