not a lot of cheep, good food in the area--one price to pay for the popularity of Waikiki, try grocery store and make your own spagetti or live on toast! It's the youth hostel way.

If you like shrimp and you wanna taste the best there is in Waikiki, do to Jimmy Buffets - it's not cheap, but if you fancy splurging for one night's dinner - the coconut shrimp is worth it! It's about €17 but I had to go back for more. The second time we went back, they gave us 2 dishes on the house as 2 of our party was waiting for our meals 5 mins later than the others were served!
