Its Switzerland - there aren't many options! I asked in teh Tourist Information for a "cheap" restarant and still paid 25 Francs (about 16 euros) for a main course and drink aat lunchtime. A few days later in Germany two people ate for less! |

The Historical museum in the Barfusser Kirche is excellent, and just a walk around the town centre. You can't go up the tower in the Munster if you are travlling alone - something to do with the suicide rate in the 1970's, so it's been banned since 1981. Take a friend, or persuade some locals to 'add' you to their group. |

Basel in a nice city if you have interest in art and culture. It was a different experience staying in basel than any other swiss city. |
