02 May 2009 Sherry, USA (Traveller): Take a boat ride around the island with Bjorn; find him through the Info. Ctr. You will see the nesting birds and caves from seaside and learn of the island's history. |

02 May 2009 Sherry, USA (Traveller): An area day-trip from Runde to Orsta via the 654 & 653; at Orsta, take 655 to Saebo & the ferry to Leknes & continue on 655, along the beautiful Norangsdalen, to Hellesylt, taking the Geirangerfjorden ferry to Geiranger & head north on the 63 with its initial 11 switchbacks to Eidsdal & the ferry to Linge & the 650 to Sjoholt & the E136/E39 to Alesund, This was a wonderful day trip that showed the diversity of gorgeous geography. Roads are good; ferry rides nice, especially the hour-long crossing on the Geirangerfjordan. We traveled before the high season so traffic was light and ferry crossings easy. |
