For touring cyclists the seaside route from downtown is not to be missed. The route is marked and you can buy a map at Mountain Equipment Coop right around the corner. For road cyclists the ride around the saanich peninsula is one of the best that BC has to offer, gently rolling hills, smooth pavements, good scenery, separated bike lane, minimal traffic. Take the Loch side trail from downtown and cross over to the interurban touring route. |
