08 Aug 2009 Susan, USA (Traveller): I traveled around town mostly on foot, by city bus (la colectiva) and by subway (Subte) with no problem. If you speak Spanish, people are very helpful with directions, etc. I'm 62 and legally blind. After dark, I took taxis, also without problems; I was careful about which cabs I used, traveling alone.
