Mission Beach Cafe in, of course, the Mission. Not cheap, but delicious. La Taqueria in the Mission had amazing burritos (I had the chicken); best I've ever had. Even though Fisherman's Wharf is the closest place for food, I wouldn't recommend it unless you get a cheeseburger from In N Out until you get to a different neighbourhood with better food. The Ferry Building had a lot of tasty options including a Farmer's Market on the Tuesday I went with local organic produce.
