旅行锦囊 Stockholm - Långholmen

The Vasa Museum was recommended, but is closed until May 2013; We very much enjoyed the Nobel Museum, especially the 45 min introductory tour in English by Monica - her English is excellent, she took a subject we knew nothing about and made it very accessible and interesting! A wander around the food hall is also fun. |

There's a Hemkop supermarket accessible in the Hornstull T-bana (metro), which seems to be the nearest to the hostel. Everything, including food, seems expensive in Sweden (for us Brits at least) so eating out wasn't an option for us. |

We didn't go out in the evening, preferring to stay warm and rest after a day's sightseeing (it was March and -5ºC during the day after all!). |

The Vasa museum was amazing, and a definite "don't miss"! I thought that the armory was a little underwhelming, but if you visit it, I would suggest indulging in the 20kr. audio guide. |

Skansen and the Vaasa museum, the palace museums and the knights church (in Gamla Stan). Also worth a vist are the Jewish museum, the Nobel museum and the Town Hall. A stockholm card is well worthwhile for all these things. |

Hermans (vegetarian restaurant) buffet lunch for 100 krones which is so cheap for Stockholm. Food is gorgeous even if your not a vegetarian, lovely views of the city too. |
