Sustainability projects in Brasilien

HI Brazil’s ‘Environmental Management Project’ is aimed to help the HI community by promoting the economic use of natural resources, running costs and providing training and qualifications for all staff. All HI Hostels located in the Paraná State will receive environmental qualification training, which is divided into sectors relating to the hostel operations i.e. kitchen activity, organic waste management and gardening (organic gardening that provides herbs to the hostel restaurant). All hostels will receive support via email and training, which will be provided by environmental professionals who have extensive knowledge within the area of sustainability. The project is divided into 4 labels that are related to the environmental element: water, air, earth and fire.
