We LOVE staying at this Hostel and we can't wait to visit again next summer.

With the exception of black mold on the shower curtains and 2 dirty out of 5 toilets the hostel was great. Bedding was clean, a coffee and pancake breakfast was offered daily, as well as chocolate chip cookies in the evening. There was a computer available for guests, as well as wifi. Staff was friendly, communicative and thoughtful.

We just love it, perfect staff and owners. Very friendly place with kind atmosphere. Close to the ocean.

The family that ran the Truro Hostel this summer was very welcoming and friendly. They even provided fresh baked cookies for guests in the afternoon and delicious pancakes in the morning! The hostel is in a GREAT location, with the beach just a short walk away. The beach here is fabulous, but you can also visit other Cape Cod National Seashore Beaches in the surrounding area. The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner, but other than that it was a clean, comfortable night's sleep. While we were expecting many of the guests to be young, for some reason most of our fellow guests were middle aged. This was only a problem because our sleeping hours varied. These women requested all of our individual lights be turned out by 11, and got up much earlier than we did :( (Next time we will request a private room.) Other than that, we had a great time in a great place and can't wait to come back and further explore the Cape!

It was uncomfortably hot in the basement room (August). Also, there wasn't a culture of consideration -- travelers didn't respect sleeping guests in room in the morning...oh well.

During my 4 day stay the men's dorm floor had not been swept nor the trash picked up. In the men's bathroom the urinals had had not been cleaned in months. There was one wet towel that served as a floor mat for the day. Management seemed lazy. The kitchen desperatly needs new refrigerators
