| I have stayed here a number of times. It's especially good if you want to decompress from travel, very calm and peaceful. I love sitting around the fire at night. The walk to the pond is nice too. Very restful place, and I like it for that. (222364) | |||

| This is a wonderful place.... so beautiful!. You can stay in a barn, teepee or camp out in your own tent. The staff is great and so helpful. It's rustic... just as advertised. I hiked and biked the island ... wonderful experience. (219052) | |||

| My stay at Vashon Island HI was very enjoyable. It is in a beautiful setting and the staff are friendly and helpful.
It is easier to get around Vashon in a car, but it is possible with the bus and lifts from the hostel staff.
The HI had only just opened for the season and, except for the dorm, the heating was not on and we were only allowed to put it on for my second night onwards, even though it was cold at night. They did not seem to be completely prepared to open, but this did not spoil my stay and I highly recommend this hostel to anyone wanting lovely walks and drives in a gorgeous location.
