Donnie and her husband who manage the hostel are a dream team. Donnie skillfully, patiently and graciously plotted bike trips and miscellaneous tours for us, checked a restaurant for hours and location, brought me soap and shampoo when mine were locked inaccessibly in the car, serve a whole grain breakfast, are very green, cook on an iron skillet (with borderline anemia, this is important to me). I am thoroughly smitten and plan to return frequently.

A car is a must-have to get there but what a wonderfull place in an awesome neighbourhood! Very kind and helpfull owner too: home-made pancakes for breakfast and a lot of judicious tips.

Wonderful, More friendly than the friendliest. Outside cabins made the comfort factor a bit less but we knew this and it added to the whole ideas of "Time away"

We had a lovely time at HI-Eastham. Donnie was wonderful - so friendly and eager to help us discover the Cape. The pancakes were delicious and we loved the respectful, communal atmosphere. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and all the tourist information we could possible need was at our fingertips. We'll definitely be back to this hidden gem of a hostel.
