You get what you pay for and this place is CHEAP. The location is good and breakfast is pretty standard for Moroccan fare: bread, jam and coffee. The bathrooms were kinda clean, the showers were ice cold, the beds were hostel bunk beds. That being said, I don't have huge expectations for hostels so really my only big beef was that despite booking a female only dorm we were forced to share the room with one of the other women's boyfriends. The staff at the hostel was aware and did nothing to enforce the policy and so we got 2 nights of listening to dude snoring like a chain saw, and being forced to change in the bathroom if we wanted any sort of privacy. You get what you pay for.

Staff is friendly and helpful. They should provide the clothes hangers in each shower room, and waste basket in each of the toilet. Now they have only 2 waste baskets for the whole hostel. Other thing else was good.

Breakfast is bread, butter, jam, boxed juice, and tea or coffee. The bathrooms have lizards and are minimally equipped: no toilet paper, no hand soap, no towel rentals available. The location (near the Bab El Had entrance to the medina) is close to interesting sites but difficult to find without several maps and asking for directions.
