The experience was so bad that we decided to move to another hostel. After waiting for a while finally the guy in reception opened the door at 6pm and we could go in. He asked us for the booking sheet in very bad mood and told us that we should come back in less than 4hours!! (before 10pm when he`ll close the door). He also told us that no more trips to Volubilis were available and that we should pay for using the shower. Finally we asked to see the room. It was the easiest way to decide that we didn`t want to stay there at any cost. The worst hostel room ever! No insulation, only two beds and no more! It was clearly poor and we could find easily other hostel with much better conditions for the same price in the Medina. Not like this one which is locate so far away the city center. By the way, the google map (in sept 09) was wrong and located the HI Hostel in another very diferent location. AWFUL!!!!

Negative: The hostel expects from you that you take a printed version of your booking. If you don't have it, they don't take in consideration your prepaid amount and you have to pay the whole staying again. The reservation number is not accepted by them, only the printed document. Neutral: For the warm water you have to pay over the booking rate.

My entire group and I had an awesome weekend staying at this hostel!! The staff was so friendly, the transactions easy, the location convenient, and the breakfast delicious. The bathroom didn't have toilet paper and the hostel closed for an hour at 7 pm because of Ramadan (which is expected, anyway) but these were the only inconveniences we experienced. Thank you so much for making this beautiful city more accessible to travelers on a budget!! We had an amazing time. I can't thank you enough.

There was a man working at the reception that was very friendly and helpful but there was a woman working at the reception also who wasn't very friendly or helpful. The showers and the bathroom were clean but the sheets weren't. Poor breakfast.

Strange hostel, charges a luggage storage fee and for hot showers (not an issue in the summer when the "cold" water isn't that cold). Washrooms are dirty. Rooms are very cramped. No lockers. Courtyard is nice for sitting outside. Location is slightly out of the centre. Overall ok, and you can't beat the price.

Had to book a twin room, just for one, which was a bit of a pain. Reception was nice though.

The hostel is a very nice and cheap place to stay. It´s about 20 minutes walk from the city center, in a quiet neighbourhood. There´s a nice garden, people are friendly... I can only imagine, in high season there can be a cue for the shower, since there´s only 1 shower for women (although there are 3 for men I think).

We didnt like. First: we arrived and there was no room reserved for us, something happened with the reservation. They put us in a room in the end of the hostel, that was really dirty. We asked for cleaning, it improved. Later: nobody told us that we had to pay to have hot water in the bathroom. So, I had a cold shower when I could have had a hot one. It is not expensive. The breakfast is nothing but bad. It is cheap, at least.
