Hostel facilities and location were very good. Staff generally seemed more interested in plaiting each others hair, but when directly requested would generally make the effort to help.

Great location near the beach, very convenient. Bathrooms really clean. Kitchen gets a little crowded. Lots of chill out space. A bit noicy on the street as there is construction across the road.

- sometimes no coffee left for breakfast - no lockers in the room - no chair, no hook in the room and only a little lamp and shelf on one side of the double bed - very poor wifi signal

Not much choice in Iquique for hostels so this is prob best choice for a lone traveller but if another decent hostel arrived this place would probably lose out. Very small things would make a huge difference to this hostel in excellent location.... fix lights and lockers in rooms (mine didn´t work and I luckily swapped beds but was made to feel a nuisance), put shelves under breakfast bar in kitchen to allow this place to be used to preparing food not just storing food as kitchen is very very tight and hard to cook. Also buy smaller pans so that more can fit on the hob at once as most people are cooking just for themselves using huge pans that would feed many more. Regularly empty toilet bins as its a bit gross when showering so close to toilet as bin is overflowing... or just buy bigger bins with flap lids?! Always felt like I was bothering staff when asking questions!

There was a lot of alcohol and smoking and general party atmosphere which lasted much later than the written rules stated. People were very loud outside until long after curfew, and the staff seemed to encourage this. I understand that it is a beach hostel and expected a party atmosphere, but the noise should not be allowed to go on until 3am. Also, the showers were never hot and the bathroom was so small for so many people sharing.

really nice hostel, comfy beds, nice staff, showers were a bit wierd-they were in the toilet cubicles which were tiny! Only bad thing was the kitchen, its too small, and they could do with a new cooker. Location is great, right on the beach.

The hostel's location is great - right near the beach. The common areas are very nice and attractive. The hostel has two wings - our wing didn't always have hot water, which the staff seemed surprised to hear although other guests told us that they had complained about this before. Our room could have used a table or somewhere to put our stuff, as well as some hooks for towels, but the beds were comfortable. The internet/wifi works sometimes. It's probably the best hostel in Iquique, but that doesn't mean they should stop trying.
