The hostel is correct. Maybe the problem with the WC it's in the middle of the corridor, near the main entrance.

Good hostel not far a walk away from the city centre, clean, plenty of facilities within an reasonably quiet. One problem however is that there are no grocery shops nearby (all the supermarkets seem to have skipped town along wt the off licenses to out of the way supercentres) so bring your shopping with you, unless you have a car (though in that case given what it costs to park overnight in the city centre you might be better off staying somewhere out of town anyway)

The staff were very friendly and eager to answer my questions. I had a great time and would stay there again. The only thing i was worried about was the area , but even that wasn't too bad.

In general, people in the hostel are not that friendly. It is difficult to listen to a "good morning" for example. So don't go if you are expecting to make friends easily.

We have stayed in a number of HI hostels around Canada. This one we liked the best. It was well-maintained with various little conveniences that we didn't get elsewhere e.g. a little light and shelf for each bed in the dormitory, plenty of hooks as well as a good-sized locker. In the washrooms a curtained space and chair outside the actual shower curtain gave privacy and somewhere to put clothes and washbag without getting them wet. We would recommend this hostel and stay there again.

Unfortunately, my two weeks stay in this hostel hasn't been a very good one. I found the place to be very noisy days and nights (without exception), which prevented me from getting a good night of sleep, even when trying to take a 1 hour nap at noon. The building is conveniently situated close to the city, however there is small park close to it where a lots of incapacitated junkies are spending there nights drinking and fighting among themselves until early hours of the morning.
