| Compared to other HI-hostels, we rate Bergen significantly below the standard.
Also when you add the immens charge for a linen and towel (2 x 70 NKR, i.e. 19€!!!, rent, not purchase), the total value for money is pretty poor.
The time required for the bus transfer to/from boat or train is also a clear minus in the total consideration. | ||

| Staff was very rude and not willing to inform about city details and other hostel information. It's a shame to pay for sheets and towels... That is not common for travelers to carry their on sheets and towels at least out of Scandinavia.... | ||

| Beautiful location overlooking Bergen. Flipside is distance from town! Included breakfast invaluable considering Norwegian prices. Staff friendly and helpful as possible. | ||
