The facilities are great and almost new. The room/bathroom was fairly clean, but the bedding was dirty--the mattress cover was badly stained, there even was a blood stain (unsanitary.

With an Eco slant the hostel is over heated (23-24 C) in the common areas. One has to dress in a T shirt to stay comfortable. perhaps 19-21 C would be better and one should just have another layer on (remember it's sub zero ourside). Visitors already dress for the cold. Kitchen needs: Bigger Pasta bowls Cooking Knives need to be sharpened More pots or perhaps a Wok or 2? Additional colander (only one presently) Apart from this the hostel was a great place to stay in.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property, I'll address the heating concerns with the technicians that service our system, however at this time of year, the system can have a hard time keeping up with the external temperature changes (+5 one day, below 0 the next), and see what we can do. Bearing in mind the ways in which the hostel tried to be environmentally friendly, the whole building was kept far too warm. Even just wearing t-shirt and jeans it was too warm for us.

sometimes I get a guy coming back in the room drunk with a girl in bed having sex. Wish a camera at the front door to watch others bring free people in to the rooms to have sex. Not good for others.

Unregistered guests is something that our night staff are training to take quite seriously, however, they're generally unaware of a problem unless it's reported. I loved the hostel! Stayed for 2 weeks and have now stayed there twice. No problem recommending it on!

More like a communal hotel than a youth hostel, lots of very warm and welcoming people there too!
