The staff was very helpful, noting that we had "overbooked" for our needs and helping us get a cheaper accommodation. It was not required that they do this, but they were kind enough to do it. Friendliness: exceptional; helpful; pointed out interesting things to see and where to eat. Efficiency of service: self-service kitchen was locked in the morning; fortunately we had not put our food into it the night before. Comfort: mattresses were "over-used"; we could not use the shower since there was no place to get undressed or to put clothes while showering. But the people who waited on us were very nice.

lovely building in nice grounds, bit tricky finding it initially, but once you know the entrance is same as high ropes entrance, no problems thereafter.

The hostel is situated in a beautiful, well-moderised old mansion. Dorms and common rooms are very comfortable. The house is located in a picturesque setting in the green a short distance outside the city of Killarney (I only checked "good" for location, because without the car we had at our disposition during our stay I wonder how fast it would have been to get to the city and back). Staff is perfectly friendly and helpful. My friend and me very much enjoyed our stay there!

Let guests pay more for optional breakfast and serve a complete breakfast instead of toast, jam and coffe/tea.

Enjoyed stay but some of the facilities in the bedrooms need improving. The house as location was great.
