| Most of the staff was not nice.
When we told them there is no more pancake mixture at breakfast they basically said that the place is closing permanantly today so they don't care. | ||

| Le personnel est accueillant mais l'auberge est dans un batiment fonctionnel sans charme sur une rue très passante.
Nous avons très mal dormi; le couvre-feu n'est pas respecté (vacarme entre minuit et une heure du matin sans interruption). A éviter pour une famille ou pour les personnes voyageant seules mais voulant dormir (un peu!). Il y a comme l'idée que vu qu'on est à Montréal, tout est permis au niveau bruit à n'importe quelle heure de la nuit étant donné qu'il y a de nombreux festivals qui finissent tard. AJ à éviter. Le prix de la chambre familiale n'est pas bas, on aimerait pouvoir au moins dormir.
Nous conseillons par ailleurs très fortement l'AJ de Québec Intra muros (taile de la chambre du double et petit dejeuner inclus), Riviere du Loup et Ste Anne des Monts (auberge festive mais où les gens qui veulent dormir peuvent le faire)où notre séjour était très bon et le rapport qualité prix excellent.

| We stayed a private room with my friend. But the receptionist was terrible.First day, when we arrived the hostel our room's toilet wasn't work. We told him. He fixed the toilet three times. we wanted to change our room but he didn't.
We had to used another floor toilet. We payed private room fare but it was just dormitory. And when I asked to him, he told me " I can speak English more than you". who is told to customer jusk like this?I'm foreiger customer and my English is not good. I knew that.
lastday another receptionist heled us, you can using good service.
I don't want to recommend this hostel. | ||

| I had reserved this hostel on line not realizing that the HI Montreal was less than a half mile away on the "safer" side of the overpass. The location, though still close to down town, is in a sketchy looking area. The hostel itself is not conducive to socialization, the common areas small and dark and the four bed room rather prison like. I was actually told by the staff to park my car where HI Montreal was located because it was safer. At that point I changed my the rest of my reservation to HI Monteal and had a great experience. | ||

| I got a Room in the basement, Next to the room with the washing Machines and Next to the room with the electric for the elevator.
Whenever someone used the elevator, I woke up because it was an unbeliveable Noise!
Besides that somebody draged the rubbish-bin trough the whole backyard in the Middle of the night. So it wasn't possible to get Sleep in this Hostel. Plus there weren't any lockers in the whole hostel and you coudn't Close the window - in the basement, so I didn't feel very safe.
In adition, there weren't lots of Traveler you could meet. I would never recommend this Hostel to anyone!!!!!!! | ||

| Excellent price for private room given it was F1 race weekend. Private room excellent - only problem was NOISE from front desk all night making it hard to sleep even with earplugs in. | ||
