This is the perfect location to visit Amsterdam if you don't want to be middle of the city the whole time. The hostel is right on the canal on the edge of a park, and you can rent bikes to go to the sea side though a national park. It is an easy bus ride to the center of Haarlem, and then a quick train ride into Amsterdam. The hostel is very clean and comfortable. The courtyard next to the canal is a great place to eat the excellent (free!) breakfast buffet.

It was a good comfortable stay in Harleem, the hostel was easy to find as there is a bus stop on the name of the hostel.

Directions to hostel could be expanded. Note that the bus has a "Stayokay" stop on its route. You just need to get on the right bus. Best breakfast I had in hostels in The Netherlands.

The hostel is well laid out and comfortable and the evening meal and laundry facilities were appreciated. The bread deliverry failed to arrive in time for the start of breakfast but the staff dealt with this well and it was only a few minutes late.
