Dun Chaoin is a spacious hostel with breath taking views over the bay. I'm sure this would apply all year round. Our host was a wonderful lady from Galway and was very interesting and informative. The kitchen was really nice and provided for all our needs. It was also a nice place to chat with other guests and exchange information about things to do in the area. We had a private family room, so I can't comment on the other accomodation, but the guests I spoke to seemed happy to be there and very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning in the future. John

The lady in charge of the hostel was very rude to us. We needed to wash laundry. Because the hostel closes at 10am, we were told that there was no time in the morning, even though we were waiting outside the office when it opened at 9am. Then, she began arguing with me, saying that the hostel does not provide laundry facilities, and that she allows people to use "her" machines out of her generosity. She was very rude and unpleasant. By the way, the description othe hostle clearly states that there are laundry facilities available.

A little hard to find as it was in a very remote location, however once we were there we thought it was lovely but a little isolated in terms of facilities. Excellent service by owner and we enjoyed our stay.
