We absolutely LOVED staying at Zhengjia! Bob and the lovely girls on reception really made us feel welcome, and went the extra mile with pick-up and drop-off at the train station. The hostel is beautiful and the nicest we have stayed at in China, and the food was delicious too. Pingyao was the highlight of our whole trip. Thanks very much!!

I spent one night in this hostel. It looks nice in general, in the architectural style of Pingyao, but the room and bathroom were not very clean. People in charge of cleaning didn't have the key of my room and asked me to leave it open... and still it was not clean then... (Bring a lock to close your closet) The employees of the hostel are weird, some of them were sleeping on the benches in the livingroom during the day, some other are very childish and they speak very bad English. What else, the location is great, right in the old town and the free pick up at the train station is very practical. In conclusion, I think I will go to another hostel if I come back to Pingyao.

A delightful hostel in a traditional house. A pleasure to eat in the courtyard, with Chinese food (too many other hostels onjy served 'Western' food.) of good quality at a reasonable price. We also appreciated the pick-up service. We would stay there again, and reccommend it to friends.

Our stay in this hostel was amazing. The building is beautiful and the facilities are great. They have the best food in town and the staff is really helpfull. I really recommend anybody to stay there.

Undoubtedly the best hostel in China - there is no need to go anywhere else! With fantastic rooms at bargain prices, a great atmosphere and extremely friendly staff, this place is the definition of a home away from home. Bob and his team really go out of their way to make your stay perfect (and if you're nice, even let them beat you at snooker!). Look no further than the Zhengjia International!
