RECOMMENDED ! Alibi M14 Hostel in Ljubljana (Slovenia) Well located in the city centre, just 3 minutes walk away; 10 min. walk to central train & bus station. Hostel staff is very nice, well mannered and helpful. The hostel is clean, well organized with available kitchen, free internet and two computers ready for customer use. Only problem, two flights of stairs with no elevator, which could be a problem if you have heavy baggage; but now you know, so there is no initial “shock” when you arrive with your luggage; “just take one step at a time”, your stay will be worth it !!! The major problem with this hostel is that the dorms are to cramped. The security lockers in the room take up all the space and this means you squeeze by people all the time.

Venting from tumble dryer used same pipes as our en-suite bathroom which had nô serviceable fan. This resulted in marked condensation & laundry fumes in the suite. We asked if we could have a reduction in the 60 euro price but the owner refused with no assurance that the problem woad going to be fixed for the next guests. Very dark and dingy stairway to the hostel on 2nd floor. If you ate getting similar feedback from others, I would seriously question if this hostel should be HI -approved.

Too bad their wasn't an elevator. The entrance downstairs gave me a very bad first impression. It would be nicer if it was cleaned up. The bathroom was very clean and spacious and the room had a good sized locker. The hardwood floor was a little noisy and tended to wake people upwhen anyone came in late. A microwave would be nice.

Above all this hostel is a recommendation: friendly and helpfull staff, great location, new, clean,... Just a pity that breakfast is not included. That would make price-quality just perfect.

We were not given axdoor key which led to us being locked out when the receptionist went out. Very small for amount of beds. Lockers placed stupidly giving very little space in room. Free internet was useful, staff were pretty helpful.

great staff, realy nice people, great location evreything in the hostel is new and clean. i recommend this hostel to every one. the only thing missing is air conditioning in side the rooms.

The hostel has a very good location in a street with direct access to the heart of the city but at the same time it is a peacefull location as it is not right above the bars. The room I´ve stayed in (double room with bathroom) was very good - spacious and clean.
