The room was smelly because of the dirty carpet and there was no chair or bedside table.

Because Cordial House has a web site separate from HI, I ended up with two reservations for both of the nights I stayed there. My first night was extremely noisey. The second stay two weeks later was poor with stinky rugs and halls.

i didnt deal with the staff very frequently, so i cant provide an accurate review, but they were friendly & efficient upon check in and check out. the breakfast offered at the hostel was one of the best i've had at a hostel. security at the hotel seemed fine, but the door to the room i stayed in was never locked as far as i knew. the room was a little small for the number of beds in it, but my stay was still enjoyable. overall, a very good value for a hostel in an amazing city, in an excellent location.

Great location within walking distance of everything.... Clean and roomy... Stayed in a twin private room with shared facilities, hot showers.  Free wifi, and staff are very friendly and helpful!!  A bit noisy at night, some construction going on, just bring earplugs.  Convenienty, two mini grocery stores just next door, and restaurants/food vendors are everywhere!

The best thing about this place is the location. If you want something close (literally a 5 min walk to the blue mosque / Grand Bazarr and 2 mins to the light rail) this is definately a great hostel. Had a private room, it was dusty, but fine. Wireless is really only available in the lobby/bar and not in the rooms. Would recommend for location alone.
