Friendly staff, already knows you by name after a minute. Service goes latin american, friendly, with care, though a little slow. This doesn't matter if you are on a holiday. Secrity of the backpacks is the best so far I have seen. Location is ok, but the town is small, so another street wouldn't make it worse.

Hostel was very cold. When I asked the staff to finally build a fire, they mocked me. It took two hours for the older gentleman who seems to run the place to get an inadequate fire going. I went to bed. The staff insisted I speak Spanish with them, would not answer my questions in English even though they knew some. The hostel had a good video library and a good breakfast. There was hot water for showers. I actually left after one miserable night, to stay with my friend in Colonia Valdense. He built me a great fire.

Good mattresses which makes a nice change. Breakfast was not so great and staff were reasonable helpful when assistance required but not overly friendly or enthusiastic. Individuals lockers good but locks needed on dorms.
