I spent two nights at this hostel, and it was the best I could ever have hoped for. Clean, comfortable rooms with beautiful views, a huge and well-stocked kitchen, a warm and comfortable living room and great fellow travelers to talk to. All of this just surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscape: sky, sea, and giant sequoias over two thousand years old. I'm just bummed that the hostel is closing in January, because I'd love to go back again and again. Definitely not a party hostel; rather, a warm and social place to rest after a long day of exploring the parks.

I'm very sad this hostel is closing due to no earthquake retrofit. Cant visitors just sign an acknowledging waiver that would allow it to stay open?

This place is so cozy and in the PERFECT location. I would go back to it again and again if it weren't closing :(

It was excellent! I'd been wanting to stay at the Redwood National Park hostel for years...and then I heard it was closing, so I rushed on up there. It was wonderful. And I am so disappointed it's closing. I'm hoping this is temporary, and it can reopen soon. This hostel is a treasure. Thank you!!
