This location is so peaceful and cozy. It was clean and quiet...just what I needed after a long day.

There were huge dust bunnies under my bed and the girls' dorm smelled of urine, faintly, as if maybe from the family room.

U-nails on the floor and open tops of walls between private and dorm rooms should be fixed. Private rooms hostelers have t o go through dorm rooms to relieve themselves. Computer didn't connect. However, nice guy running the place. Ed

It's hard to judge this place. The manager was very helpful, the house is very historical and the location is amazing (being in a historical park and all). I didn't get any cell phone coverage and there isn't any wifi. The house itself can be a bit intimidating. I would suggest staying here for a night if you wanted to see the park but don't stay on your own. It gets a little creepy lol.

one of the most amazing hostels i have stayed in - a preserved historic mansion and underground railroad station. it felt quite decadent having the run of a mansion, and the location is gorgeous- amazing scenery. you'll meet lots of hikers if you stay here, all with interesting stories of hiking the appalachian trail.
