I am not a fan of hostelling internationals. They are impersonal and often lack facilities, including this one Reception didn't open till five and there is no kitchen. The place boasts that they have a good record for conserving energy. Yeah sure like the reason is for the environment, it's just to save money. I don't like having to keep switching on the light while I'm in the shower. Excellent buffet breakfast. Loved the cat. I went to another nearby hostel the next day.

I reached the hostel 12:00h and the checkín was closed until 5 pm. I have communicated previously that I would come mid-day. I have booked for 3 nights and when I was there, they told me that I just have booked 2 nights, then I had to leave the hostel. I won´t advice this hostel for anyone!

Beware of the reception hours! Also, there are no elevator, so it is uneasy to drag the heavy luggage to your room.

When entering the hostel, it smelled of mildewing laundry. I killed a roach in the bedroom. It was hot and we had to sleep with the windows open. The worse part was the train noise. The train tracks were no more than a few hundred feet directly across from our rooms. I only had 2 pairs of ear plugs for the five of us and they didn't even dampen the noise. We didn't rest well.
