| Location was far from town, but it was quiet. The long walks were worth the novelty of staying in a converted prison. It was unlike any other hotel/hostel experience we've ever had, and I'd readily recommend it to anyone. | ||

| We visited in March, when there was still snow/ice on the ground and outside temperatures were at least -5ºC during the day. Heating in the hostel is fine though, and double doors at the entrance mean even the lobby was warm! The self-catering kitchen is well laid out and equipped (cookers, sinks, pans, cutlery, crockery, lockable fridges, shelving, microwaves, tables & chairs, tv, etc), although the induction hobs (cookers) are confusing and could do with instructions. Our bedroom was in the wing that houses the museum (have you ever done a museum in your pyjamas?!), and it was a little disconcerting to hear tour groups being guided round the corridor outside your room, while resting in your room late afternoon. Everyone we met in Sweden was very helpful and spoke excellent English. T-bana and museums all had signage in English as well as Swedish. | ||

| Sharing the building with the hotel gave the option of taking the hotel's meals as well as self cooking. A very useful option when you've just arrived & hadn't been able to do any shopping.

| It was VERY hard to find the hostel at first, but I liked that it was a short walk from the T-bana station. | ||

| Be aware! It's a spetacular hotel. Yes, I mean hotel, not a HOSTEL. You pay a fair price for an hotel, not for a hostel. Because the place is fantastic. The rooms are inside their museum - yes, they have a museum. The price of the others services are also expensive too. It's a little bit far from the center, but it's fantastic. But not a hostel. Enjoy it! | ||
