Neighbourhood was noisy all night but the location otherwise was very good.Close to the railway and easy transportation to the bus depot.

surrounding area - when we asked locals to show us where it was on the map they all said stay away. as a blonde girl it would have been great to at least be previously aware that i was staying in the red light district before being chased up the street by men. it might not be a great advirtissement but it's peoples' saftey. however; the security was incredible, i couldn't fault it, you just really need to warn people about the location. or at least say come up via the station route so you enter it from the square, so information on how to get there.

When I booked the hostel through the HI hostel a deposit was taken as well as a booking fee. However when I checked into the hostel they said that HI never pass on the deposits and so they refused to deduct it from the cost. overall website directions are not adequate enough for people to get to the hostels, they're too vague and could be more descriptive. this hostel was a student residence, not clearly labelled HI and not easy to find yet being just a 5min walk from train station. also not in a good area, although i didn't have any problems was intimidated walking to and from accomodation.
