| Our bedroom as next to the loos and shower - inevitably noisy, can some sound insulation be added by any chance!
We were shocked at the price of the food in the restaurant - very, very expensive, even for Norway - there may be self catering, but we assumed there would be a good value cafe/ restaurant - it is a youth hostel not a hotel ....... many others we heard felt the same way. (209549) | |||

| the new lodge next to the hostal is the focus now - no food is provided at the hostal. the food in the lodge is very expensive, and if a big group arrives, they might run out. take your own food to this hostal. (213492) | |||

| The Hostel needs major improvements! The kitchen is old, and too small. Hardly any cutlery, one cooker was broken. The stairs are very steep, no toilet upstairs. The only shower was broken. Only one toilet for 24 or so people. I recommend you pull down the old hostel and build a new one!! (204217) | |||

| 5 qm very simple room for two people costs 680 NOK, which is too expensive, but the hostel has a monopol and no competition. Besides that was there only one working shower for maybe 20 people.
The at least included breakfast was very good. Fantastic view. (200971) | |||

| The location is magnificent, facing a beautiful lake, so peaceful in the morning... ideal for the famous 2-hour excursion to Preikestolen. The worst, the really uncomfortable showers: cold water even if you put a coin! (196901) | |||

| Without doubt, the best location of any hostel I have ever stayed at. It's a shame there is no category for "design" as this hostel would score 100% every time. The staff are extremely helpful, the included breakfast is excellent and let me say it one more time - the location will take your breath away! (191134) | |||
