All small things are for extra pay, water in shower 10 NOK, bed-clothes 60 NOK, hostel is without internet connectivity :-(

I enjoyed my days on Runde very much. Comfort just got a fair because of the strange shower. On my first day i was the first who used it and discovered, that i had to pay for it outside. For the first minute i just got cold water and had to leave the shower to insert another coin to get another four minutes.

We are surpriced about the location, the kitchen was small, but very clean and everything was there. we are very happy with this location.

Runde and Aurland were our trip highlights; with the Runde Puffins a focus. Our 22/04-05/05 timeframe did eliminate some activities and there's less choice of public transport times. Liesbeth, from the Info Ctr, was quite helpful in this regard. She said it would be easier with a rental car; our best decision. The Puffins fly in at evening and it's best to stay overnight; we stayed at the hostel. All at the Info Ctr were wonderful. Between Liesbeth and Lars, we learned much about the hostel, the Norwegian Institute for Water Research and, the island in general. We both thought the hostel is exceptional. We loved our room with a view of the sea. Rooms are small but configured so that two are comfortable. We would not hesitate a longer hostel stay.
