| You should inform people in advance on the internet that when you don't have a hostelcard, they have to pay an additional amount of €3 per night.
It wasn't mentioned at the online booking pages. (233577) | |||

| Hi.
I am an experienced international youth hosteller. When I arrived at this hostel I realised that I could not climb the two flights of stairs to the bedroom so we were offered, at additional cost, an outpost in an outside building, where, it was hard to drag our bags because of my disability. The night we were there the temperature dropped rapidly and approach freezing overnight. We had one blanket each and were literally shaking with cold as the block was made of concrete and was in the shadow between a high wall and a row of trees. The next day the hostel offered to put us into a closer room (easier to access and probably vacant the night before), due to the fatigue involved in moving we chose to stay in the refrigerator but this time had the benefit of four blankets each. We were told the heating would not be put on until the first of November. I found the hostel's way of dealing with this problem very insensitive and unhelpful.

| The hostel was quiet - and in a cool building, a villa with its own gardens - and there were plenty of beds...but it was a long way from the city center and you REALLY had to be paying attention on the bus or else you'd miss the stop. Although the beds were comfy and there were no shortage of showers, the place was fairly spartan otherwise, without much information on tours, maps, etc. And the free breakfast ended at 9:30, not 10 or 11, so I missed out on it most mornings. | the staff was not helpful and everytime you asked them a question they acted as though you were annoying. not helpful for tourist because they seemed to expect you to have knowledge of the city. wouldnt even help me find the locations i was trying to go to on a map. tons of bugs too and no securtiy lockers. not the worst by any means, and it was a beautiful site, but they left a lot to be wanted.... | I was looking through a tour guide book of Florence and saw that this hostel was actually the first Medici villa. I was impressed with the grandeur of that place. You should probably include that info on the hostel page. Also to be included on the hostel page should be a warning- People who are checking in at night: you have to walk/drive up that long road from the street to get to the actual hostel. (226952) | |||

| Location is some way out of the town centre but in a nice natural surrounding. Dissapointingly the staff on arrival very unwelcoming to the point of rudeness and equally so on departure. The noise into the early morning was very loud (somewhat to be expected in a hostel). (225472) | |||
