I would put more than Very Good for security as my friend forgot to lock the locker where we put the backpacks (with all our belongings including laptops), our locker stayed wide open for more than 3 hours before we realized that and came back to the hostel. Everything was untouched! ;)

During the night, many young people manking too much noyse, and anybody of the hostel did anything to avoid this. There was not plug in the rooms and the bathrooms was not clean, there is not place to put your things and clothes while you are taking a shower etc...

Other guests were rowdy and loud. Two nights of poor sleep. A quiet hours from midnight on would improve the situation.

Not enough hot water nor was it hot enough what there was. But in all, a good hostel with good people at a great location,

They gave me bed no 12, but when I go to bed no. 12, it was occupied. I told the staff, they asked me to take bed 14. After that, my belongings was moved by someone to bed no. 10, and I need to go back to the Staff to get back bed no. 12. It seems like the staff does not really respond to our problem and bad response to us. I also sas a girl having argument with the staff on the night, but I did not know what actually happened. I went to HI San Francisco before, but it was good. Only the Venice one is not that good due to the poor local management.

We stayed at family room, I can't say anything about other rooms, but all was wonderfull, and the breakfast was very very good.

I feel almost happy, comfortable,plesantly,nice,......! But I think Vapolet-ship is very expensive Hoooo!!

This hostel provides some relief from the otherwise high prices in Venice.. But the cheap price reflects in the overall quality of the product offered.. The hostel is just OK and I would not recommend this as the first place of choice.. Beds are OK.. Bathrooms have no locks.. Breakfast sucks.. Tiled floors means they get dirty soon..

Lockersfor each person were of good size and sturdy, breakfast was free...very basic but OK, large eating area. The lights!!!!! Main lights in dorms were controlled by staff and even though it was 10pm and everyone on our dorm was trying to sleep the lioght were not turned off. Had we had control it would have been turned off and we all could have slept well!!! No power points in rooms, no locks on the room doors, the noice from other rooms, the beds - matress had no cover on it just a piece of foam - very saggy. Showers were a bit old and corroded (but water was nice and hot), there were holes in the roof (of the bathrooms) where pannelling either was broken or removed and exposed pipes and who knows what else!!!!!!

The location is good and comfortable for backpackers, but the room is not so good as espect, quit dark and feel not so clean, but common area is good and clean.
