hot water for showers? not very good

Our room was on the 3rd floor and very cold, staff told us there were heaters on floor so room would warn up "soon" and it never did. It was too cold to shower or sleep so we left early in the morning. Told staff working desk that morning I expected a full refund. No manager in yet so she took my name and email address and promised he would contact me, been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting. Hope to hear about this from someone and still expect a refund for the 3 of us.

Hostel response:

I'm very surprised to hear this guests complaint about the heat in the room. We received no other complaints from her fellow guests and it was a particularly mild period in April! The rooms are heated through an underground heating system - there is a thermostat in each room to adjust to the required comfort level. If the room's temperature was not to the guests required level we would have happily given the guest an extra duvet, a portable heater or even moved her to another room of her liking, if possible. In terms of the showers, the water is on all day to insure there is always hot water - which is the case.

The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our private 2 person room with a sky light and thought everything was kept very clean and safe. We would highly recommend this hostel.

The best thing about this hostel was the friendly staff. There was a good dining and relaxation area, and the room was comfortable (though a little cool, perhaps). But overall an excellent hostel.
