Only a 15 minute walk from the centre. Which is really nice if you take the river walk. The hostel in located right by the park and city museum.

While we were there, there was a conflict with another guest who insisted on smoking in the hallways of the hostel. The staff was very effective in dealing with this person in spite ot the guest's rudeness. As a person with asthma, I very much appreciated the staff taking this situation seriously.

This is the first Youth hostel we have been to without a drying room which we needed desperately. Very little sitting room areas.

The "member's only" breakfast thing was confusing, and the shower was broken in the men's dorm. Girls dorm was full and could get noisy.

We did not care for the showers. We could understand the need to push a button every 15 seconds in an attempt to conserve water, but there was no way to adjust the temperature and we were scalded every time we had to shower.

A clean basic hostel, the rooms are spacious, location is good, near the university. This hostel has potential to be really good but misses the mark if you are looking for things such as decent internet access this is not the place for you it is expensive and archaic also no washing machines! Couple of the staff could also do with a customer service refresher course which is sad because a few were super helpful but the majoriy will not go out of their way to help you at all.
