Beautiful grounds, possibly breeding fairy's. No goblins to be found anywhere. Good self catering kitchen, but it opens a little late in the morning. Good laundry, not haunted at all. Dryer nice and hot, makes for good shrinking of clothing... to suit the leprechauns, advise turning it down!

I LOVED staying at this hostel. First, the young woman who checked us in (I wish I had written down her name) was so very friendly and helpful, and offered some wonderful tips on enjoying the locale, all of which we followed through on and benefitted from. Without a doubt she went above and beyond what we experienced at other hostels, and that really is saying something. Secondly, the hostel itself is so very roomy, comfortably furnished and charmingly decorated, that I felt very much at home here. On my return trips to Ireland I will certainly be looking forward to staying here again.

Really nice hostel, friendly staff, a bit expensive and you definitely need a car to get around. Shopping for groceries, the town-centre: all not do-able by foot. Great self-catering kitchen and lovely library-room.

We staied very well except for the self catering kitchen. It is small compare to all people that to want to use it.

Generally the hostel was OK. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! We felt welcome and got all kinds of help with finding around the area. Toilets and the sinks in the room were nicely clean. I also liked the reading room because of the comfy sofas and lots of light from the large windows. Points for improvement: In the room there were no hooks to hang our clothes. We were six people and we were "fighting" over one chair to be able to accomodate our clothes. Cleanliness: tables in the kitchen were a little bit sticky and the table in the room with computers was REALLY sticky. It was rather damp in the building as such. It was not possible to close windows in the room where we slept due to the vines on the outside wall of the building.

Disapointed not to have a twin room with my wife even though we booked well in advance.

The restrooms had no soap. The showers were dirty. The laundry machines did not work very well. The floors were all dirty and grimy.
