Its a very very big hostel. Very efficient and well prepared for receiving many people in a big city. Not the "homy and cosy" style. (232549)

good hostel. staff were welcoming but there appeared to be some confusion at times. a little farther away from the main city but completely walkable - only a few blocks. very clean, both dorms and bathrooms. If you want to do anything south of the River, you're either in for a walk or need to get a bus pass. It's not that far of a walk as everyone tells you but be expected to take about a ten minute walk from Mountjoy St to Trinity College. Oh and it's Mountjoy Street not Square, don't let any of the locals tell you otherwise or you will end up about seven minutes walk from where you're supposed to be. The sheets are clean, as are the beds, and the bathrooms are ok. It's a hostel, not a five star hotel. The breakfast was good (cereal, toast, orange juice and tea/coffee) and the staff was very nice. Overall, for the price we paid, I think it was a good choice. Hostel response: Many thanks for your comments and explanation that we are not on Mountjoy Square. This is a good hostel. My only suggestion is a rework of the kitchen area. Make it a little larger. Its quite crowded when groups come down to cook. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
