it was the worst hihostel ever!!!!!!!!I took one look at the room it was dirty and very nasty I did not stay there I got a hotel room in Darjeerling for the same price I was very disappointed it should be closed down the room was dark and very small Ugh it was just horrible and the dorm was just as bad the location was hard to find and in a run down and bad part of darjeerling very scary!!!!!!!!!would recomend closing the facility

Make sure they give you one of the rooms on the first floor which are quite nice. The other rooms are terrible, the beds are disgusting and so are the bathrooms. In case they give you one of the shitty rooms do not hesitate to call the owner, who lives in Delhi. Only after that the staff will be willing to help. Do stick e.g. plastic bottle in the drain on the bathroom floor and close the bathroom door at night. Rats are a common sight not just in this hostel. Make sure you carry a FLASHLIGHT everywhere you go, since blackouts are quite common in Darjeeling. Anyways, it was so cheap that some problems were to be expected :)

This was not a hostel, it was a hotel. The dormatory room didn't exist and I was forced to stay in a double room and pay that price for the 2 nights I had booked. The hotel seemed to be full of drunk men. My room had mice and a trickle of cold water instead of a shower. I hated it. It is at the top of a steep unlit narrow street.

Room was damp, and the toilet stank of urine, Im able to rough it, but everything was actually damp, unclean and smelly, it doesnt take much to clean a toilet with bleach. I left after one night, after told I was to be sharing with a guy, when it said, single sex dormitory.

The bathrooms smelled like urine. and the sheets looked like there were not changed. The cover was dirty and smelly. The top of the dressers were dirty. we paid for one night, but were soo disgusted , we looked for another hotel that same evening. The hotel itself is kind of new, but it was very dirty. Asked if they could clean up and we were told that the next morning. UGH!!!!
